The Painted Gift is a husband and wife team, Rob and Saira Knowles, based from our old farm house in Millbrook, Ontario. Saira is the artist and Rob is the website tech guy.
For many years Saira would paint handmade cards for friends and family, then one day the idea came that, hey, maybe more people would love these cards!
We soon realized there was a gap in the market. People often struggle to think of gifts for their loved ones, and store-bought cards are so impersonal. But our hand-painted cards are something different, a gift and a card in one, and so beautiful that folks keep them forever, even framing them!
Saira’s Bio:
With a foundation in Textile Design from the UK and certification as an Ontario Art Teacher, Saira brings a rich blend of artistic training and educational expertise to her work. Her career spans award-winning roles in museums and galleries, where she has inspired learners of all ages and abilities.
Known for her quirky, charming style, Saira creates art that feels both playful and approachable. In her workshops, she shares practical tips, clever techniques, and a touch of creative magic – helping everyone achieve results that truly surprise and delight.
